There's an air of anticipation and excitement in the room tonight as Yonaka finally bring their UK and Ireland tour to Glasgow after a brief postponement of a month with the hopes that this delay would bring us to a safer time to enjoy live music. The masks dotted about the venue, and ticket stubs with a date in the past a reminder that 2 years on from live music shutting down Covid is still a presence and a threat to live shows.

Theresa Jarvis is a captivating front-woman. Her lyrics and vocals powerful and vulnerable. And with a stage presence that brings the energy up as she boldly bounds about the stage, while during the calmer moments makes this vast room feel like everyone is together in a small basement venue.

There is a pure joy in the room that is felt throughout the night as the band play songs from across 2019's Don't Wait 'Till Tomorrow and 2021's Seize the Power, along with a cover of Pat Benetar's Love Is A Battlefield.
